Pakistan is one of the oldest civilizations in history.
Pakistan is one of the oldest civilizations in the world, with a history that can be traced back to around 7000 BC. With an area 1.5 times larger than France, Pakistan is located along the Arabian Sea coast, offering visitors rich cultural history and vast landscapes comparable to other South Asian destinations. The country features a wide variety of geographical formations—from seas to deserts, green and arid mountains, waterfalls, forests, and more. The world’s second-highest mountain is also located here.
The country is divided into eight regions, some of which are largely restricted to tourists, such as the Federally Administered Tribal Areas. Each region has its own unique scenery and climate, as well as numerous tourist attractions. Adventure seekers, culture enthusiasts, architecture lovers, and others will all find opportunities to enjoy Pakistan’s rich history and warm hospitality.
The country has many well-known cities, among which the most popular and notable are Islamabad (the capital), Karachi (the financial capital), and Lahore (the city of the former Mughal Empire). Pakistan can be accessed via three major international airports, as well as by train links from several neighboring countries, including India. The country is also connected by road to China, and there are bus routes from China, India, and Iran.
